Fire and safety officer • Ellis County, Kansas

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Ellis County, Kansas. You will be based in a warehouse and logistics yard. Day to day you will stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry. Requirements: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
