Overhead (EOT) crane operator — City of Salem

Great opportunity: we are hiring an overhead (EOT) crane operator in City of Salem, Virginia. You will be based on a high-rise tower crane. Day-to-day duties: • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius Ideal candidate: • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
