Plastering hand • Cardiff, Wales

Vacancy available: we are hiring a plastering hand in Cardiff, Wales. The job is at a plastering and dry lining contractor. Day-to-day duties: • Fix and set angle beads, stop beads and corner beads • Check walls for plumb and level as you go • Skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration • Dot-and-dab plasterboard to walls and ceilings • Polish the final coat with a steel trowel and water brush • Float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge You should have: • Reliable timekeeping and a strong work ethic • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline • Physically fit for lifting bags of plaster and mixing all day Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. £2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
