Immediate opening: we are hiring a lift maintenance fitter in Wharton County, Texas. You will work in a hospital with heavy lift traffic. Ideal candidate: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards Day-to-day duties: • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway 3+ years on the tools preferred.
