Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Okrika, Rivers State. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection On a typical shift you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
