Now hiring: we are hiring a retail butcher in Callaway County, Missouri. You will be based in a meat processing plant. Requirements: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry On a typical shift you will season and marinate meat on request; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled.
