Immediate opening: we are hiring a crane rigger in Monroe County, Illinois. The role involves select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings. What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
