Now hiring: we are hiring a crawler dozer operator in Southeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based on a dam or embankment job. Requirements: • Willing to work on remote sites and rotating rosters • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems The role involves: • Grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes • Strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse 1+ years on the tools preferred.
