Gas metal arc welder — Hays County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Hays County, Texas. The job is at a steel fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions. You should have: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • ITI in welder trade or equivalent Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
