Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Stephenson County, Illinois. You will be based on a structural steel site. The role involves clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours.
