Sheet metal welder — Juab County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Juab County, Utah. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Your main tasks: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $240 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
