Gas metal arc welder — Isle of Wight

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Isle of Wight, England. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. You will load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Part-time with flexible hours.
