Now hiring: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Skagit County, Washington. You will work on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. Your main tasks: • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing You should have: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire Rotating shifts.
