GTAW welder wanted in Suwannee County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Suwannee County, Florida. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Day to day you will TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
