Requirements: • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting Your main tasks: • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
