Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Decatur County, Iowa. You will be based at an automobile body shop. You will set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing. You should have: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours.
