You should have: • Own set of hand tools • Good eyesight and methodical fault-finding • Confident using diagnostic scan tools Day to day you will diagnose engine faults using an OBD-II scan tool; replace clutch plates and gearbox components; estimate repair costs and order the right parts; trace electrical faults in the starting and charging systems; carry out oil and filter changes; carry out wheel alignment and tyre balancing. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
