Steel fixer — Suffolk County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel fixer in Suffolk County, New York. What we are looking for: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing On the job you will handle: • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
