Conventional mill operator — Borough of Halton

Now hiring: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Borough of Halton, England. You will work at a busy machine shop. What we are looking for: • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade On the job you will handle: • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
