Join our team: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Angelina County, Texas. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Day-to-day duties: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish Rotating shifts.
