Now hiring: we are hiring a gas service engineer in City of Harrisonburg, Virginia. The job is at a busy gas installation company. Day-to-day duties: • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $3,100 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
