Day to day you will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job.
