Health and safety supervisor — Lower Connecticut River Valley Planning Region

Immediate opening: we are hiring a health and safety supervisor in Lower Connecticut River Valley Planning Region, Connecticut. Day-to-day duties: • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action What we are looking for: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate Overtime paid at a premium rate.
