Port container crane operator — Lauderdale County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Lauderdale County, Mississippi. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Day-to-day duties: • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) You should have: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Able to read load charts and lifting plans Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
