Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete placer in Adair County, Oklahoma. The job is at a ready-mix concrete plant. Requirements: • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE Day to day you will discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer.
