Join our team: we are hiring a furnace operator in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. The role involves check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
