The role involves feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray; MIG-weld and spot-weld new panels into place; check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull; knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly; treat rust, apply seam sealer and underbody protection; strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports • Skilled in MIG welding and panel replacement Part-time with flexible hours.
