Slinger signaller — Ontario County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Ontario County, New York. What we are looking for: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Day-to-day duties: • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $16 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
