Metal caster wanted in Richmond County

Join our team: we are hiring a metal caster in Richmond County, New York. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. The role involves: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Performance bonus on top of base pay.
