Machinist wanted in Henry County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in Henry County, Virginia. You will be based on an export house sewing floor. Your main tasks: • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet You should have: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
