Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixer in Carroll County, Virginia. You will work on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. Day-to-day duties: • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder What we are looking for: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules 1+ years on the tools preferred. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
