Steel erection rigger • Putnam County, New York

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Putnam County, New York. You will be based on a high-rise building site. Day to day you will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; read lift plans and method statements before starting; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads. You should have: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
