We are recruiting: we are hiring a presser in Louisa County, Virginia. The job is in a tailoring workshop. On the job you will handle: • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory 4+ years on the tools preferred. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
