Great opportunity: we are hiring a concrete worker in Fayette County, Iowa. The job is at an infrastructure site. You should have: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers On the job you will handle: • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $5,000 per project, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
