Immediate opening: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Allegany County, New York. Day to day you will keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; season and marinate meat on request; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
