Banksman • Westmoreland County, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a banksman in Westmoreland County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy construction site. Your main tasks: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight What we are looking for: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Confident with standard crane hand signals Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $26 per hour, based on your experience. Share your details and we will call you back.
