Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Ritchie County, West Virginia. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Your main tasks: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
