Machinist — Pipestone County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a machinist in Pipestone County, Minnesota. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. Day to day you will operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges. Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Pay around $3,900 per month, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
