Now hiring: we are hiring a production welder in Seminole County, Georgia. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Requirements: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Day-to-day duties: • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
