Now hiring: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Schoharie County, New York. The job is on residential and apartment building sites. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion On a typical shift you will braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves; fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances; locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant.
