Vacancy available: port container crane operator (North Carolina)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Mitchell County, North Carolina. The job is in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. Your main tasks: • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block Ideal candidate: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Understanding of hand and radio signals 3+ years on the tools preferred. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
