We are recruiting: safety officer (Mississippi)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a safety officer in Pike County, Mississippi. Your main tasks: • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry What we are looking for: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
