Immediate opening: we are hiring a carpenter in Northumberland County, Virginia. The job is in a bespoke joinery workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level You should have: • Own basic hand tools • Good eye for detail and a clean finish $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
