Join our team: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Orleans Parish, Louisiana. The role involves make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
