Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On a typical shift you will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges.
