Join our team: GMAW welder (Illinois)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Hamilton County, Illinois. You will work on a structural steel site. What we are looking for: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Day-to-day duties: • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls Six days a week, one day off. $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
