Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in Athens County, Ohio. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather On the job you will handle: • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
