On a typical shift you will lay underlayment and tar paper before tiling; nail down asphalt shingles in staggered courses; hang box gutters and downpipes for rainwater; replace cracked or slipped tiles and slates; set out battens to the correct gauge and spacing; torch on bitumen membrane across flat roofs. You should have: • Own hand tools (hammer, nail gun, slate ripper) • Willing to work outdoors in all weather • Able to read roof pitch and set the falls 2+ years on the tools preferred.
