Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Your main tasks: • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press 6+ years on the tools preferred.
