Great opportunity: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Scott County, Iowa. The role involves: • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
